Now that all is said and done I don’t know what went wrong and don’t know what’s going on. I cry my heart out so much so that I never sleep my eyes bloodshot and puffy. I tell myself it’ll get better because you’re gone forever, watch me fade away without you I disappear to the world become invisible. Every stage we went through broke me apart. When you left I died, when you slept with her, my spirit weakened, I died a bit more everyday, until I was gone, I faded away. Time heals all wounds, but my injuries are too deep to heal in one lifetime, as I watch you walk away time stands still. No matter how many times I say I don’t miss you I know it isn’t true, no matter how many people replace me none can ever replace you. The walls fall down staring into the world empty face passing along me, love lost, hopeless people, they all fade to grey, the ones who don’t, stand out like angels floating majestically above the rest, they have something to hold on to. I look into their faces and I see you, look at me, there’s nothing there, look right through and then walk right through me, I don’t exist in this world anymore and it’s okay, so long as you glow and you have something to hold onto I’ll have no reason for upset, but if you ever start to fade I’ll no longer be here, I fade away into nothingness and die with a happy heart knowing that you had love to hold onto and that you’re better off without me. It’s not fair to say that I didn’t try, because I couldn’t show you that I tried but I gave it my all and my best wasn’t good enough, I wasted my time as well as yours and I’m sorry, I wished that it would never die but it did and I can pass over knowing that you know I never let go because I didn’t try to hold on it was because you needed me to let go. I hope in this lifetime you can forgive me and if not I understand, but it wasn’t because I didn’t love you, in fact it was the opposite I did it because I loved you and I needed you to know that because I was a broken soul when we met and I wouldn’t go out any other way, It was good while it lasted and you showed me that Love doesn’t exist without pain but I’d gladly take the abuse than feel nothing at all. I know you won’t remember me and it’s cool because I wouldn’t have it any other way, I’m passing into the slip stream as I turn away from you and feel my mortal heart being ripped from my chest because it can’t depart from you on its own. Help it out, yell and scream at me, tell me you hate me, that I mean nothing and hopefully it can find a way to let go, you should have turned me away when we first met and realized that you could never be superman for me because you were meant to be superman for someone else, someone real, unbroken, and undamaged, I got what I deserved and I know it. When this slipstream of memories ends and the fires of hell consume me I’ll take all the punishment with a smile knowing that I got at least a little time when I existed to someone somewhere and that person was you. Don’t miss me, and don’t cry, we both know there’s no easy way to say goodbye so for now I’ll just say goodnight. If you chose to not let go you bring everything upon yourself, but I will still be here to pick up the pieces of your heart and put them back together, I’ll be here to lift you up and carry you when you can’t make it on your own and I’ll be here to venture to the depths of my personal hell to force the demons to let you go. But if you say goodnight as I slip into my eternal slumber then remember what I have to say even if you don’t remember me. Take everyday one step at a time and the hardest part about life is looking up and enjoying yourself, because you have to remember that no one makes it out alive. Live on the edge but not on a cliff, stop drinking and don’t smoke because you’ll never be able to fill the emptiness if you don’t. The void will only grow and eat you alive until the person you were doesn’t exist anymore, You’ll become a black hole and kill everything you ever cared about, your touch will be as black as an august night and nothing you touch will have a chance at survival, and one day if we ever meet up again, I won’t be able to look at you knowing that I watched you do this to yourself, everyday tearing yourself apart and tearing everyone else apart too. Humans are meant to live together not alone, because you defiantly can’t do it alone.
